I sold a pearl necklace from Mikimoto

I purchased a Mikimoto necklace quite a long time ago, definitely more than 10 years. I wore it a few times but after that never had the occasion to put it on again, so it just sat on the shelf despite being a Mikimoto piece. Now that I want to buy a new pearl necklace, I decided to let go of this one and went round to multiple shops. I decided to sell it here because they offered the best price. It is a reasonable amount and so I am satisfied.

I found several pieces of Mikimoto jewelry while reorganizing the house, so I brought them to Jewel Cafe to be appraised. While cleaning around the house, I found the Mikimoto ring that was bought 15 years ago. I had never been to a buyback shop before, so I looked up the homepage online. The shop was bright and approachable. About Mikimoto Purchase

Wanting to protect and preserve the Akoya pearl oysters in the waters of Iseshima, which were declining due to overharvesting of natural pearls, in 1893 he successfully cultivated Akoya pearls at the present Mikimoto Pearl Island, a first in the world. From early on, Mikimoto looked to expand overseas, and began showcasing Mikimoto pearls at expositions held around the world.

In 1913, Mikimoto opened a branch in London. This was the moment when Japanese pearl culture was introduced to the world. In 1972, the company changed its name to Mikimoto Co., Ltd. and was reborn as a general jewelry store dealing not only pearls but also diamonds and other jewelry. Along with its flagship store in Ginza, Japan, Mikimoto has opened its stores in New York, Paris, London, and other areas where the world's top-class jewelry manufacturers are located, and is highly regarded as a world-class jewelry store. Since its foundation, Mikimoto has always been in pursuit of the answer to the question, "What is true beauty?” Having cultivated a global perspective from early on, Mikimoto combined European technology with the delicate art of traditional Japanese craftsmanship into a unique "Mikimoto style”.

It is said that less than 10% of the pearls produced make the cut following a stringent selection process for the crafting of their jewelry pieces.
