Customer Reviews

Got cash and more rewards

I had some old rings that I couldn’t wear anymore and was looking to sell. But the condition was not very good. I even tried to sell online but didn’t get any response after a few months. So I went to Jewel Cafe to see if they could buy the rings. I was shocked when they told me the stone on my rings was real diamonds. Even without the documents, they offered a pretty good deal. So I decided to sell. They had paid me cash and gave me their membership rewards. They had a lot of cash vouchers and cash bonuses to redeem. They also provided drinks and snacks while I waited. Great service ladies!

Broken diamond ring for cash

Jewel Cafe accepted my broken diamond ring. I had one diamond ring that had a few small pieces that had come off. So understandably other gold or pawn shops won’t take in this ring. So I was wondering what I could do with it. Then I found Jewel Cafe online. So I just thought I would try to bring my ring to Jewel Cafe. To my surprise, they accepted my ring and paid me in cash. The staff was well educated about diamonds. I also won an extra RM100 from their lucky spin. They can also accept branded bags, so maybe I’ll bring my bags next time.

Sold diamond without GIA

I recently sold my diamond ring without any certificate. During my visit at Jewel Cafe, they explained that diamond jewellery without a GIA certificate could affect its resale value. However, they still offered me a good price and for instant cash. They were very welcoming and had good explanations about the resale market, especially about diamond selling. I also received many rewards for their membership.

Diamond's 4Cs

About the 4Cs of Diamonds

There was no universal indicator for measuring diamonds until the mid-twentieth century. In certain conditions, the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) created the world's first standard for representing diamonds. Today, the Color / Clarity / Cut / Carat Weight '4C for Diamond Quality' is recognized worldwide as the international standard for assessing the quality of any diamond.
  • Colour

  • Clarity

  • Cut

  • Carat

The degree of colorlessness is typically used to assess the colour grade of gem-quality diamonds. Diamonds that are chemically pure and structurally perfect are colourless and have a higher value. The GIA colour level reliably tests colorlessness by contrasting it to colour samples of each colour grade under particular lighting conditions.

Color variations between diamonds can be slight and undetectable to the untrained eye, but these differences have a significant impact on the appearance and price of diamonds. The GIA colour rating system for determining the colour of diamonds is the most widely used in the global gem industry.

Diamond's initial 'D' reflects the highest level of transparency. The lower the rating, the yellower the product.

JEWEL CAFE
+FAQ for Color
Q
Why is the GIA color rating grade 'D-Z' instead of 'A-Z'?
A
Before the birth of the GIA color rating, there were no clear criteria, there was a mixture of rating grades such as 'A, B, C ...', '0, 1, 2 ...'', 'I, II, III ...'' and misleading subjective expressions such as 'Gemuru' and 'Blue White'. As a result, customers were sometimes confused. The GIA introduced levels with a 'D-Z' notation beginning with a 'D' to avoid confusion with current ones when determining a colour rating based on logical and straightforward standards. Other rating charts are rarely used now that the GIA colour rating has become a strong consistency standard and has spread across the world.
Q
Specifically, how do you determine the color of a diamond?
A
Human understanding of diamond colour is strongly impacted by the light source and background. As a result, GIA evaluates the colour by contrasting it to various colour samples that meet the requirements for evaluation under the given circumstances. Judgment will be made by two or more appraisers for each diamond. If the results of each judgment do not match, or depending on the weight and quality of the diamond, the judgment will be left to another appraiser. The rating grade will not be finalized until the judgment results are agreed upon.

A loose diamond is a bare diamond, meaning the diamond itself has not been processed into jewelry. A loose diamond is a diamond that has not been processed into jewelry. The 4C grading scale, other than the weight scale, was first developed by the Gemological Institute of America (GIA). Initially, the GIA (Gemological Institute of America), a gemological education organization in the United States, developed the 4C scale on its own. Currently, the GIA method is the most widely used in Japan. At Jewel Cafe, our skilled staff will assess your loose diamond purchase with a wealth of knowledge.

Purchase of Multiple Diamonds

In the Roman writings of ancient Europe, diamonds were introduced as a type of substance called 'Adamas', which described hard objects, including steel. The word 'Amadas' was transformed into Diamant via Diamas, which became the origin of the word diamond. The word 'Amadas' comes from the Greek word meaning 'unconquerable power. The diamond is the birthstone for the month of April, and is hard, beautiful, shining, and captivating. It is also the birthstone for the month of April, and its words are 'eternal bond, purity, and fortitude'.

Purchase of Melee Diamonds

乳液・ミルク買取

The word 'melee' refers to the size of a gemstone and means 'small stone' in French. A melee diamond is a small gemstone, generally less than 0.1~0.2ct. The term 'melee diamond' generally refers to a small diamond of 0.1 to 0.2ct or less, and is used as a side stone to complement the middle stone or as a diamond to decorate a wedding ring. It is used as a side stone to complement the middle stone, or as a diamond to decorate a wedding ring. The melee diamond is an essential element that greatly affects the brilliance of the entire ring.

Purchase of Tapered Diamonds

コンシーラー買取

A tapered diamond is also called a tapered baguette cut diamond. A tapered diamond, also called a tapered baguette cut diamond, was originally used not as a main stone but as a side stone or a type of melee diamond in a ballerina type design surrounding the middle stone. A bucket is a shape often used for melee stones. The term 'bucket' is derived from the French word for 'rod'. The tapered bucket cut is a trapezoidal shape, where 'taper' means 'tilt' and 'baguette' means 'bar'. The tapered bucket cut is a trapezoidal cut. When the trapezoidal shapes are aligned in the same direction, a curve is created to express a delicate design.

Purchase of Colored Diamonds

香水買取

There are two types of colored diamonds: naturally colored diamonds and artificially colored diamonds. The most popular type of colored diamond is the natural pink diamond, which is a rare stone and commands a very high price because there are so few of them. Blue diamonds and yellow diamonds are the next most popular as they are often used in high brand jewelry.

About Incomplete diamond

Gemstones are valued for their beauty, rarity, and durability. Durability is the gemstone’s ability to withstand abrasion, heat, and chemicals. The concept of durability consists of three characteristics. Hardness (strength against scratches and abrasion of gemstones), toughness (strength against cracking and chipping of gemstones), stability (strength against chemical substances and heat of gemstones). Diamond is very stable and hard but slightly weak in toughness. Therefore, it has weakness of being vulnerable to impact. Also, diamond has a cleavability (substance has a strong and weak direction depending on the arrangement of atom). For example, when it comes to wood, it is easy to cut along the grain but cutting at right angle is difficult. It can easily be chipped off by an impact from a certain direction. Because of this characteristic, it can be cut. When it comes to incomplete diamonds, we actively buy the diamond with any conditions. Please feel free to visit for incomplete diamond assessment. We have confident with our price in buying incomplete diamond.

Diamond Trivia of the Week

Tips of Diamond Jewelry
1 Carat Diamond Necklace With Certificate

Tips of Diamond Jewelry
1 Carat Diamond Necklace With Certificate

Big solitaire diamond necklaces are a classic piece of diamond jewellery. It's a jewellery that literally fastens the diamond, removes needless development, and highlights the diamond's initial beauty at the collar, but the big diamond has a greater appearance and offers an elegant performance. As a result, many jewellery stores sell this item, but we also purchase a lot of them at our shop adding to purchase higher-quality diamonds or are tired of designing as the main reason.

There was a period when higher-quality diamonds were used for rings, then for necklaces, and finally for earrings, depending on the use. Since I was looking at the diamond closer to my own eyes, I preferred to concentrate on quality as much as possible when it came to rings. Earring are casually guided because necklaces tense to draw more attention. Each has a specialized role, and diamonds can be used effectively.

The grade of the diamond may be clearly labelled, particularly in the case of a large diamond necklace with a single stone (solitaire), but there are distributors that use diamonds with a slightly lower rank in the above period. Therefore, when purchasing a new item, we recommend that you choose a necklace with a certificate that clearly states the quality of the diamond.

Also, if you want to buy a new design necklace or replace it with a higher-grade diamond, please come to Jewel Cafe, where you can sell your diamonds at a high price.
