I sold a pearl necklace from Mikimoto

I purchased a Mikimoto necklace quite a long time ago, definitely more than 10 years. I wore it a few times but after that never had the occasion to put it on again, so it just sat on the shelf despite being a Mikimoto piece. Now that I want to buy a new pearl necklace, I decided to let go of this one and went round to multiple shops. I decided to sell it here because they offered the best price. It is a reasonable amount and so I am satisfied.

I sold some Mikimoto jewelry!

I found several pieces of Mikimoto jewelry while reorganizing the house, so I brought them to Jewel Cafe to be appraised. I had already gone to another shop but the price was quite low, so after someone I knew recommended Jewel Cafe I went there instead. The store was bright and the female staff attended to me cheerfully. She said, “We’ve purchased a lot of Mikimoto jewelry from customers!” which made me glad that I went there. I am very satisfied with the purchase price. The service was also good, so I would love to come again.

I sold a pearl ring from Mikimoto!

I sold the Mikimoto pearl ring I had purchased 8 years ago as a treat to myself. I remember my mother telling me that if I wanted to buy a pearl ring it might as well be Mikimoto, so I squeezed out the money and purchased it. When I recounted this to the female staff at the store, I am so glad that she was kind enough to listen to me. She even praised me for taking very good care of the ring, which made me feel even happier. I will definitely be coming again to Jewel Cafe!!

I sold a Mikimoto ring

While cleaning around the house, I found the Mikimoto ring that was bought 15 years ago. I had never been to a buyback shop before, so I looked up the homepage online. The shop was bright and approachable. When I told the staff about how the ring had been a present from my mother, she responded kindly, “This must be a ring with many memories,” which made me very happy to hear. The appraisal was quick and she explained everything to me clearly. I have other jewelry apart from Mikimoto, so I’m thinking of bringing them there too.

I sold a Mikimoto ring

I was nervous because it was my first time at a buyback shop, but I brought in an 18K Mikimoto ring I had received from a relative. The size did not fit, and I didn’t think it would be worth much as it was quite an old ring, but I’m so glad that the price was higher than I expected for a Mikimoto ring! As they accept other brands as well, I will gather up what I have and come again. Thank you so much!

I sold a Mikimoto pearl brooch at a high price

When it comes to pearl jewelry, it has to be Mikimoto. That’s why I asked my husband to buy me a Mikimoto brooch about 20 years ago. It contained a lot of memories as I wore it quite often to my daughter’s school events, but now that she has become an adult I don’t think I have much opportunity to wear it anymore. Thinking that I wanted to let someone else wear it, I went to the nearby Jewel Cafe. I was really nervous, but the female staff was very nice. She listened to me reminisce about the past, such that I felt good about selling it. Thank you very much.

I was able to sell a pearl ring from Mikimoto

I had purchased the ring many years ago, but recently I wanted to buy a new one, so I decided to sell it. I was nervous as it was my first time using a buyback shop, but they took great care with the appraisal and explanation. Thanks to them, I was able to sell it without fear or doubt. I look forward to buying a new Mikimoto pearl ring! I would love to come again as they also buy broken accessories

I sold a broken Mikimoto necklace

I got the Mikimoto necklace as a present from a friend, but after it broke I never got round to getting rid of it. After making an inquiry, I brought the necklace to the shop and received an offer price, so I sold it there and then. It was my first time selling something at a buyback shop, but the female staff attended to me cheerfully and politely. I will come again if I have anything else other than Mikimoto jewelry to sell.

About Mikimoto Purchase

Leave it to us to purchase your Mikimoto jewelry! Kokichi Mikimoto, the founder of Mikimoto, was born in 1858 in Toba Town, Mie Prefecture. Wanting to protect and preserve the Akoya pearl oysters in the waters of Iseshima, which were declining due to overharvesting of natural pearls, in 1893 he successfully cultivated Akoya pearls at the present Mikimoto Pearl Island, a first in the world. In 1899, Mikimoto opened Japan's first pearl specialty store, Mikimoto Pearl Store, in Ginza, and has since become a leader in the Japanese jewelry industry. From early on, Mikimoto looked to expand overseas, and began showcasing Mikimoto pearls at expositions held around the world.

In 1913, Mikimoto opened a branch in London. This was the moment when Japanese pearl culture was introduced to the world. In 1972, the company changed its name to Mikimoto Co., Ltd. and was reborn as a general jewelry store dealing not only pearls but also diamonds and other jewelry. Along with its flagship store in Ginza, Japan, Mikimoto has opened its stores in New York, Paris, London, and other areas where the world's top-class jewelry manufacturers are located, and is highly regarded as a world-class jewelry store. Since its foundation, Mikimoto has always been in pursuit of the answer to the question, "What is true beauty?” Having cultivated a global perspective from early on, Mikimoto combined European technology with the delicate art of traditional Japanese craftsmanship into a unique "Mikimoto style”.

It is said that less than 10% of the pearls produced make the cut following a stringent selection process for the crafting of their jewelry pieces. These efforts are the reason why Mikimoto is highly regarded not only in Japan but also around the world as the epitome of Japanese pearls. Jewel Cafe is on a campaign to strengthen our purchasing of Mikimoto jewelry. We are not only actively looking to purchase items that are in good condition, but also pieces that are outdated, do not have certification, or have scratches etc., so you are most welcome to bring them in for appraisal.
